You may not know it, but many women in Nashville experience what's known as period poverty. It's when people aren't able to access menstrual products, but volunteers in Nashville are helping tackle the problem.
A Haywood High School junior is making a significant difference in west Tennessee. Hailey Cunningham, 17, told us there weren't any resources available for students that received their period for the first time.
How many of us are mildly uncomfortable talking about period products? Well, that’s nothing compared to the one in four students in Middle Tennessee who struggles to access or afford period products when they need them.
